There is so much information on Healthy living and weight management and on losing weight that it has become  confusing and sometimes hard to take and follow a plan. It’s actually very easy to lose weight,Gain weight or maintain  weight if you follow my 7 easy steps .

1. – Before you can start any diet program you need to be in the right frame of mind. If you do not feel good about yourself you probably will not want to choose healthy foods. You cannot expect the act of going on a diet to make you feel better about yourself ….So first make up your mind ,you want to be, what in looks and real strength.

2. – Learn more about who your ancestors were. If you eat more like your ancestors you will be eating food that is better for your body. You will likely lose weight, have more energy and feel great. It has been shown when a group of people stop eating the food that was indigenous to them they start gaining weight and having health problems.

3. – Eat whole foods that are as natural as possible. When you eat whole foods that are full of nutrients your body will know how much to eat and how much not to eat. You do not have to count calories because your body is a wonderful machine. If given the right nutrients you will be at the best weight for you, have plenty of energy and feel great. Eating highly processed empty calorie foods will cause your body to always be hungry because it’s trying to get the nutrients it needs.

5. Start the day off right with a good breakfast. A bowl of low-sugar cereal with low-fat milk, low-fat yogurt with a granola or breakfast bar, or an English muffin with peanut butter, rather than a doughnut or muffin. A healthy breakfast will put your family on the healthy track for the rest of the day.

6. Make time for physical activity. Make physical activity a family activity. Every night after dinner in the summer, go for a half-hour walk and make it an activity that kids look forward to. If you can afford it, enroll your kids in dancing or a sporting activity that they enjoy because they need to enjoy it to keep doing it. When it comes to your website, extra attention should be paid to every minute detail to make sure it performs optimally to serve its purpose. Here are seven important rules of thumb to observe to make sure your website performs well.

1) Do not use splash pages

Splash pages are the first pages you see when you arrive at a website. They normally have a very beautiful image with words like “welcome” or “click here to enter”. In fact, they are just that — pretty vases with no real purpose. Do not let your visitors have a reason to click on the “back” button! Give them the value of your site up front without the splash page.

2) Do not use excessive banner advertisements

Even the least net savvy people have trained themselves to ignore banner advertisements so you will be wasting valuable website real estate. Instead, provide more valueable content and weave relevant affiliate links into your content, and let your visitors feel that they want to buy instead of being pushed to buy.

3) Have a simple and clear navigation

You have to provide a simple and very straightforward navigation menu so that even a young child will know how to use it. Stay away from complicated Flash based menus or multi-tiered dropdown menus. If your visitors don’t know how to navigate, they will leave your site.

4) Have a clear indication of where the user is

When visitors are deeply engrossed in browsing your site, you will want to make sure they know which part of the site they are in at that moment. That way, they will be able to browse relevant information or navigate to any section of the site easily. Don’t confuse your visitors because confusion means “abandon ship”!

5) Avoid using audio on your site

The gender imbalance within the tech industry is a continued challenge to overcome and in an effort to effect change, Dublin Tech Summit are proud to announce that since DTS ’17, their Women in Tech initiative has grown massively and is a major part of this years event.
Dublin Tech Summit as an ever-growing technology event and platform, recognises the importance of not only promoting female tech leaders achievements, but also the urgency to continuously support women in tech from day one of their careers. Recognising and celebrating Ireland’s Female Tech Leaders is an important action in working towards closing the gender gap within technology sectors.

In order to celebrate & promote this initiative, Dublin Tech Summit have committed to offering discounted tickets to women working in tech, anywhere in the world. DTS feel this is our way of reflecting the salary discrepancies in the Irish market and our Women in Tech Awards will showcase the incredible work being done by women in tech across the island of Ireland.  

DTS strive to create a gender balanced event. Last year’s attendee gender breakdown was 49% female which is more than double the ratio of other major tech conferences. This approach also feeds into the speaker selection process as DTS have nearly 45% female speakers.

But I couldn’t help but feel beautifulconfident and radiant the other day when the tall, handsome 22-year-old college boy at the coffee shop register hit on me,”said One lady looking like 35 but 45+.”

Then, he asked…

“How Old Are You?”

For a moment I felt like lying…

Usually, I try to shave at least five years off my real age…or I don’t answer the question at all and say something like, “that’s for me to know and you to find out.”

But today, I decided to tell the truth…

And when I told him my real  age, he said “No Way!”

Then he motioned to his friend, who was behind him working the espresso machine…

“How old do you think she is?” he asked his friend.

He paused for a moment, fixing his eyes on me, carefully scanning me from head to toe as if I was a juicy red tomato in the produce isle…

“Hm… I think 35?”

I couldn’t help but giggle a little, like a school girl.

As I walked out with my coffee into a glorious summer morning, I could feel their eyes following me…

And for the first time in over a decade…

I Truly Felt Beautiful

I know it sounds superficial (maybe even a little conceited).

I know I shouldn’t care…

The lack of confidence, the feeling of not being wanted.

And listen, I’m no supermodel. I’m just your average middle-aged woman.

And I’m not afraid to admit that I’m a little on the plump side.
